Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. She has produced many studio records. DiFranco's songs are classified as folk and alternative rock. They also are influenced by hip-hop as well as jazz and punk. Ani Difranco has been widely recognized as an icon of feminist music. In 1990, she was among the first to establish her own label independently. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian origin and her mother was originally from Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and performed the song 32 Flavors. DiFranco made an apology public in 2013 after it emerged that she had set up a three-day workshop at a Louisiana plantation. The workshop was cancelled, however many (including the author of this article) did not show any remorse. DiFranco apologized for her mistake a couple of days later.
